Tandoori Chicken

Tandoori Chicken

Make a restaurant-style smoky chicken at home with this easy Tandoori Chicken recipe. Juicy chicken is marinated in curd or yogurt mixed with MA’s Kitchen Tandoori Masala, then grilled or baked until cooked through. Sprinkled with fresh lime juice, it’s a quick, high-protein meal packed with rich, authentic flavour.

We recommend using thighs or drumsticks if you can since they stay juicier than breast meat. Cut a few shallow slashes into each piece before marinating so the flavour goes deeper than the surface.

Chicken can be cooked in an oven, in a pan, on a bbq grill or in an air fryer.

Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 Kg Chicken
  • 200g Curd
  • 2 tbsp MA’s Kitchen Tandoori Masala

Cooking Steps:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk curd and tandoori masala powder together, and add the chicken pieces and ensure they are well coated.
  2. Preheat oven to 220°C (430°F). If you have a grill function, preheat that as well.
  3. Sprinkle with lime juice and serve.

Cooking Options:

  1. Oven Method: Arrange the marinated chicken pieces on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Brush with a little oil (optional) and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and the juices run clear when pierced with a skewer. For a deeper color, switch to the grill setting for the last few minutes.

  2. Grill Method: Lightly oil a grill pan or outdoor grill. Place the chicken pieces on the preheated grill and cook for 10-12 minutes per side, or until cooked through. Brush with additional marinade or tandoori masala powder during the last few minutes for extra tandoori flavor (optional).
